Langwarrin Preschool believes in acknowledging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and histories. As an Early Childhood Education Service, we aim to promote increased awareness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives with our children, families and wider community as we work towards a respectful, reconciled Australia. Staff in our centre are committed to working towards reconciliation. We have a clear pathway to respectfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives with the children and families in our groups. We are looking forward to building respectful relationships within the local First Nations communities. We are strengthening our understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures through continued ongoing learning; this is achieved by attending professional development sessions and staff meetings. Our vision is to continually extend and explore ways to achieve a reconciled Australia.
