Our vision for reconciliation at Goodstart Kyneton is to provide a diverse and culturally respectful environment, which promotes and instills dignity and respect among educators, children and families. We would like to come together with our community to acknowledge the past and assist in healing the relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the wider community.
We strive to ensure that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, customs, heritages and knowledges are valued, represented and integrated throughout our programs. Through the development of our Reconciliation Action Plan, we strive to instill lasting positive change, which reflects our centre vision and philosophy of inclusion, community, equality and equity.
As part of our vision, we acknowledge the connection that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have with the Land on which our early learning environment has been created. We are committed to building partnerships based on trust and respect. We recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures as enduring, living cultures and we respect and hounour cultural insights as we establish strong links between our service and the children, families and communities with whom we work.
