Our vision for reconciliation is for all families in the Snuggles community to feel respected and culturally safe at our service. We recognise and respect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Peoples of Australia and acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which we come together to play and learn, the Wurundjeri people. We believe that a reconciled Australia ensures that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples histories, cultures, and perspectives are acknowledged and respected as intrinsic to our national identity. Quality early education is a pathway to reconciliation, and at Snuggles, we will continue to reflect on and grow to be responsive in our practices to ensure that we are respectfully integrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples cultures, experiences, and heritages across all curriculum areas. Our reconciliation journey and learnings deepening authentic connections with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members and providing meaningful opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples within the Snuggles learning environment through professional developments and incursions.
