Our vision is to provide an inclusive learning environment that pays respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as Australia's First Peoples. We respectfully embed First Nation's peoples' perspectives into our curriculum and educate children, families and staff about the importance of reconciliation. We at Smart Start Early Learning and Development Centre are dedicated to fostering meaningful connections and building strong relationships with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. As we collectively strive to include First Nations perspectives into our quality curriculum, practice and mission - our commitment is rooted in a shared vision of inclusivity, respect and understanding. We engage in ongoing learning and respectfully embedding our learnings about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ histories, perspectives and heritages, into our pedagogies to support cultural awareness and responsiveness throughout the service community.
