At Penguin Childcare Epping we see reconciliation as an ongoing journey with the local First Nations community. As an organisation and as leaders we take important steps to reconciliation each day. We aim to work towards the vision that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children will have the same life chances and choices as non- Indigenous children, this includes insuring that all children are provided with the same educational opportunities as all children. We aim to to create strong and respectful relationships between First Nations peoples, our service and the greater community. We want to promote equity and equality to achieve shared justice for all. At Penguin Childcare Epping our vision of reconciliation involves developing our own understanding of the true histories of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and their cultures. We are dedicated to teaching all children to always treat all cultures with dignity and respect.. We want to work towards a vision that sees all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have the same opportunities as all Australian people.
