Goodstart Early Learning Centre Dapto, located on Dharawal Land, acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders as the Firsts Nations peoples of the Land now called Australia. We recognise that, to continue on our reconciliation journey, we must acknowledge and accept the past and continue to educate children, families and ourselves. We continue our committment to reconciliation and take action against racism and bias as we celebrate and value Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander traditions, cultures and knowledges. We achieve this through honest and open conversations, Truth-telling, learning about Country, and through celebrating local First Nation Peoples’ cultures, perspectives and achievements. Goodstart Dapto envisions a society that acknowledges the rich histories and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We create an inclusive, responsive and respectful environment where all children, families and educators can learn from and respectfully engage with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders cultures.
