Giinagay, Hello,
We would like to acknowledge the Traditional owners on which our service stands, the Gambayngirr people.
Here at Goodstart Toormina our vision for reconciliation is for staff our children and community to recognise, understand, celebrate and embrace the richness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. We are committed to meaningfully embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives in our curriculum by building capacity for our team to be culturally responsive. We believe and understand the importance to facilitate cultural and being active in supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children is first being confident and knowledgeable in our own understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. During this process, we feel it is essential to build meaningful, sustainable, and reciprocal relationships with local Aboriginal Community members.
