VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Toukley Preschool, our vision for reconciliation is to walk together with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in a spirit of respect, learning, and genuine partnership. We acknowledge and honour the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which we live, learn, and play.   We are committed to deepening our understanding and connection to local Aboriginal culture, language, and history through meaningful relationships with community members, Elders, and organisations such as the Berang Regional Alliance. Together, we strive to embed Darkinyung language and cultural knowledge into our daily practice, curriculum, and Acknowledgement of Country.   Through ongoing reflection, collaboration, and professional learning, we aim to create an environment where all children, families, and educators can engage with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures in ways that are authentic, inclusive, and respectful. Our commitment to reconciliation is a continuing journey of learning, growth, and shared pride in the oldest living cultures on earth.
