At Midvale Primary School, our vision for Reconciliation is built on the values of respect, identity, and togetherness. We understand that Reconciliation is an ongoing process driven by our understanding of race relations, equality and equity, historical acceptance, institutional integrity and unity, and we commit to strengthening these dimensions throughout our reconciliation journey. We will come together as a whole-school community to embrace, learn about and celebrate our local Whadjuk Noongar culture in respectful, visible and meaningful ways. We acknowledge the past, learn in the present and prepare for an inclusive future with genuine and meaningful two-way relationships between non-Indigenous Australians and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Our vision for reconciliation is that Midvale Primary School is a community where everyone is proud of and understands our First Nations peoples' histories, cultures and contributions. We all belong, consulting with the community and working collaboratively to build stronger foundations for Reconciliation and culturally responsive environment for all.
