VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Para Hills High School, reconciliation is an ongoing commitment embedded in our everyday practice. We are continuing to build understanding of the true histories of Australia and to celebrate the diversity, strength, and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures.   Our vision is to continue strengthening this work by ensuring all staff - including those new to our community - understand, uphold, and actively contribute to our shared commitment to reconciliation. We strive to build collective responsibility across our school so that culturally responsive practices are sustained, visible, and continuously improved.  We are committed to maintaining a culturally responsive and inclusive environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, families, and staff and all people feel valued, respected, and empowered to thrive. Through ongoing reflection, professional learning, and curriculum development, we will continue to respectfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples histories, cultures, and perspectives across all learning areas.  By sharing knowledge, challenging deficit perceptions, and building strong relationships within the community, we strive to ensure equal and equitable access to education and to strengthen a reconciled place of learning where all members of our community grow and succeed together.
