VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Tullimbar Public Schools vision for reconciliation is for staff, students and the community to work towards establishing a deeper understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples cultures and to ensure First Nations Peoples and their living and diverse cultures are recognised, respected, valued and embraced. We will facilitate educational opportunities for our whole school community to be a part of creating an environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures are recognised and celebrated. We are committed to ensuring that the language and customs for our local Aboriginal community are respectfully embedded across all areas of learning. Our school will work alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders and community members to promote a respectful understanding of our shared history. We will continue to strive for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community to feel culturally safe and heard, and for our wider community to be immersed in a culturally rich and diverse environment.
