Tullimbar Public School’s vision for reconciliation is for our staff, students and the community to work towards establishing a deeper understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and to ensure First Nations Peoples and their living and diverse cultures are recognised, valued and embraced. We will facilitate educational opportunities for our whole school community to be a part of creating an environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures are recognised and celebrated. We are committed to ensuring the Dharawal language and customs are respectfully embedded across all areas of learning. Our school will work alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders and community members to promote a respectful understanding of our shared history. We will continue to strive for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community to feel culturally safe and for our wider community to be immersed in a culturally rich and diverse environment. We acknowledge that our school is on Dharawal Country and respect and value the knowledge, customs and language of the Traditional Owners of the Land.
