Lake Heights Public School is committed to a reconciled future. A future where our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students have their strengths recognised and achieve equal and eqitable social, emotional and academic opportunities and outcomes.
We aim to strengthen relationships between First Nations peoples and the wider community, acknowledge Australia’s true history, fight racism and celebrate achievements towards our reconciliation goals. All stakeholders in our school will be proud of, and knowledgeable of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures - the oldest living culture on Earth. We will work to create a learning environment where all students feel connected to our school and develop a deep sense of identity and belonging.
We will work hand in hand with the First Nations community to ensure our school is a culturally safe place for all, one where all stakeholders feel welcomed and excited to attend.
