Our vision for reconciliation is grounded in deep respect, truth telling, and ongoing action. We envision a culturally safe school community where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, students, staff, families, and community members feel valued, seen, and heard in every aspect of school life.
In recognising the sovereignty of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, we commit to professional learning that is continuous, collaborative, and transformative. Educators actively identify their learning needs, engage in critical reflection, and work alongside colleagues and communities to grow in their cultural responsiveness and embed respectful, inclusive practices.
Our school is committed to strengthening cultural responsiveness in all areas of teaching and learning. We create spaces that promote reconciliation by fostering mutual understanding, challenging bias, and embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives across the curriculum.
This vision has been developed with cultural safety as its foundation, ensuring that all contributions, particularly those from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, are respected, protected, and empowered. We welcome the voices of Reconciliation Australias Narragunnawali team and our broader Aboriginal community as we grow and review our Reconciliation Action Plan.
Together we walk forward, students, staff, families, and communities, as active participants in creating a reconciled and just future.
