At Kurilpa Community Childcare Centre we acknowledge, value and respect the Traditional Custodians of the Land in which our centre stands, the Yuggera and Turrbal peoples. We acknowledge this is a Land where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have lived, worked and played for thousands of years. Our vision for reconciliation is based on acknowledgement, truth telling, respect and building relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. At Kurilpa, we enable children to have a deeper connection to the world through developing a connectin with our community and beyond. We believe in creating a culturally safe, inclusive space for all families, children and staff. We listen and learn from Elders, First Nations community members and families, valuing their cultural knowledge and experiences. Through shared reflection, open conversations and strong partnerships, we are dedicated to making reconciliation a daily practice, visible through our actions, not just our intentions. Kurilpas reconciliation journey is ongoing. We strive to be a place where all voices are heard, true histories are acknowledged, and equity and justice are at the heart of our community.
