At The Beach Early Learning Centre, Wyong, we are committed to fostering a culturally safe, inclusive, and respectful environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, and cultures are valued and celebrated every day.
We will strive to create a learning community where children grow with a deep sense of respect, curiosity, and understanding of the First Nations Peoples of Australia. Through meaningful engagement, storytelling, and connection to Country, we aim to nurture children who acknowledge diversity and carry forward the principles of fairness, empathy, and reconciliation.
The Beach Early Learning Centre is dedicated to building genuine partnerships with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. We seek to listen, learn, and walk together, acknowledging the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which we learn and play, and honouring their enduring connection to land, sea, and culture.
We strive to embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into our curriculum in authentic and respectful ways. By doing so, we create opportunities for children, families, and educators to learn together, challenge bias, and celebrate the richness of the world's oldest living cultures.
Through ongoing learning, reflections and collaboration, we aim to empower our children to grow into compassionate individuals who contribute positively to a more inclusive and reconciled Australia.
