VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At our Centre, we are committed to fostering a culture of reconciliation, understanding, and mutual respect. We believe that reconciliation begins with the everyday interactions and values we instill in  children, ensuring they grow up to be empathetic, respectful, and inclusive individuals.  We seek to create create an inclusive environment where every child feels valued and supported. Reconciliation is a continuous journey of learning and growth. We are committed to ongoing education about the histories and cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, ensuring these perspectives are respectfully included in our curriculum. We aim to foster a deep respect and understanding for the Land and its First Peoples among our children.  Our motivation for reconciliation is in the belief that building strong, respectful relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous people is essential for a harmonious and just society. We actively seek to engage with local First Nations communities, developing an awareness to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures. We aspire to create a legacy of reconciliation that extends beyond our Centre. By nurturing the values of empathy, respect, and inclusion in  children, we hope to inspire future generations to continue this important work, fostering a society that values and celebrates reconciliation in Australia. Our vision for reconciliation is about creating an environment where every child feels safe, valued, and respected. By teaching and modelling these principles daily, we aim to contribute to a more inclusive, understanding, and environment.
