VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Our vision for reconciliation is to deepen our knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories and cultures by working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the local community to build and maintain respectful relationships. These relationships will occur through deep listening, learning and partnerships with the local Peramang, Kaurna, and Ngaduri peoples and communities.

We will continue to deepen our knowledge of reconciliation by learning about the true histories of the place our service is on through relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and everyone across our learning community through maintaining mutual trust and respect.

our RAP will continue to be is a living document, in which   Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and everyone across our learning community feel a strong sense of belonging , which we will do by continuing to to involve families and community members in our RAP direction and to engage with and actively involve local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and services.

We will continue to ensure inclusion and anti-racism form the basis of our workplace environment and professional practice.

Our Reconciliation Action Plan will be implemented with commitment to include an ongoing and active acknowledgement of the Traditional Owners of the Land we work, live and play on.

We will expand our understanding of the needs, interests and aspirations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and their families. We actively engage with the cultural diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures, exploring these themes within our centre.

With our RAP we will continue to create an inclusive space for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families, and all people, in order to foster opportunities for all to build and maintain respectful relationships with community.
