At Little Feet Early Learning and Childcare Centre, we believe that reconciliation is about reflecting as a team to continue improving our understanding of, and respectfully embedding, Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander peoples' practices and perspectives into our everyday teaching. We are motivated to seek opportunities to educate ourselves and the children enrolled within our service about the truth of our histories, to pay respect to the strength and resilience of First Nations cultures, learn from these histories, and move together harmoniously.
As we continue to meaningfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' perspectives, practices, and teachings into our program this allows for children, educators, and families to develop respect for and an understanding of the cultural diversity of First Nations peoples. To move closer towards reconciling, we care for, connect to, and respectfully explore and learn more about the Country of which we learn and play on, together with the Traditional Custodians of Gadigal Country.
