Our vision for reconciliation is to turn new learnings and understandings of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and histories into measurable actions that improve equal, equitable and educational outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island children, which in turn benefits all Australian's. Our reconciliation learning journey is in collaboration with KU Inclusion Support and under the guidance of the Centre for Cultural Competence Australia. Through this collaboration and guidance, we are committed to shaping the foundations for meaningful relationships with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, and building respect and providing opportunities within our school, learning environments and in the community to deepen staff, children, families and the wider community's knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ histories and cultures. Through the continued development and implementation of our RAP, we strive to contribute to the national reconciliation movement both internally within our program and externally within our community. We aim to ensure that active respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and perspectives are embedded within the hearts and minds of all current and future members of our community Centre.
