At Village Early Education Baranduda, we recognise we are teaching, learning and playing on the Traditional Lands of the Dhudhuroa people. Our vision for reconciliation is that Educators acknowledge, and respectfully teach about, the true histories of Australia and the ongoing impacts of colonisation on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We acknowledge that the cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the oldest in the world and that First Peoples have been raising and educating their children on this Land for over 65,000 years. We will continue to seek out opportunities to deepen our knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples cultures, perspectives and heritages, sharing our learning with children. We will strive to build and maintain respectful relationships with local First Nations communities and provide a learning environment that is respectful, inclusive and culturally safe.
