Sprouts Early Learning is committed to actively building our understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and histories. We strive to seek ways to restore, build upon and strengthen our relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples through respectful partnerships and active listening. We acknowledge and value their diverse cultures and heritages and their value in society. We strive to embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives authentically into our everyday practice, throughout learning environments and teaching strategies, to promote diversity and inclusion and, consistently seek opportunities to learn and grow our understanding together. We acknowledge the impact, past and present of colonisation on the First Nations peoples and work actively to find ways to seek equality and equity in a society free from racism. We will learn together and in turn, share our knowledge and understanding about Dharawal Country and strive to educate the next generations of the rich cultures and histories, and the importance of learning from past mistakes to continually work towards unity in Australia.
