Here at Thurgoona Early Education Centre, our vision for reconciliation is to actively acknowledge and respect the traditions, histories, cultures and continuing contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Our Centre will work towards visually representing our commitment to reconciliation and respect for First Nations peoples and will continue to reflect on our program, practices and learning spaces to promote equality and equity within the curriculum and broader educational environment. We aim to engage with and form respectful and meaningful relationships with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders, families and community members. We strive to deepen our knowledge and understanding about the local area and embed authentic practices that demonstrate our acknowledgement of, and respect for, Country.
