Reconciliation is a shared journey of acknowledging the past and working together to move forward in unity and respect. While we cannot change history, we recognise our responsibility within the Early Childhood Education and Care sector to educate staff, families, and children about the true histories of Australia. Through truth-telling and meaningful dialogue, we strive toward a more just, inclusive, and united future. Our educational program provides meaningful opportunities for children to learn about the cultures, perspectives, and histories of First Nations peoples. We are committed to ongoing collaboration with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to ensure these perspectives are represented authentically and respectfully. Through intentional teaching practices, we embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and viewpoints into a rich and meaningful curriculum. We foster culturally safe learning environments where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families see themselves reflected, valued, and respected. As a service, we are committed to being allies walking alongside local First Nations leaders and supporting their advocacy within the wider community.
