Green Leave Carindale is very proud of our relationships and deep connections with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in our community. These collaborative relationships have been formed over many years and we are committed to strengthening our bond. We recognise the importance of the views and opinions of the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members, and that these are vital in our journey towards reconciliation.
Reconciliation is important to all staff at Green Leaves Carindale as our Reconciliation Action Plan provides us with opportunities to respectfully extend our own knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, histories, and languages while respectfully sharing these understandings with the children we teach.
By continuing to embed culturally respectful perspectives into the daily routines and ongoing programs across the rooms, educators will further promote reconciliation for all. These ongoing, embedded practices and experiences will be continuously reflected on and reviewed to ensure they are respectful and authentic and, wherever possible. These will be reflected on. within our partnerships with the community. Previously Published Vision for Reconciliation
