VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Our vision for reconciliation is for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and non-Indigenous families and community members of Fitzgibbon Early Learning to feel valued, culturally respected, and safe within our centre. We will continue to further enhance our understanding and acknowledgement of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples cultures, heritages, and perspectives. We are committed to engaging with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members to build respectful relationships and connections. As we continue to build and maintain connections in the local First Nations community, we will ensure our educators have the opportunity to develop their own relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the community as we learn about what it means to respectfully include Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples histories and perspectives into our service, curriculum and daily practices. Is it our priority to empower ourselves, our children and families to  respect the strengths and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities.
