The Day One Early Learning Dakabin campus will be a place where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' cultures are respected and celebrated. Our reconciliation journey will be an integral part of the center’s learning, teaching, research, and community engagement.
The Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) will help to shape the cultural lens for future strategic approaches to identifying and implementing practical ways to build positive, sustainable relationships with Aboriginal and Torris Strait Islander communities, families, and staff. Our RAP aim is to collaborate with, and complement the aspirations of, Gubbi Gubbi people and all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
The Day One ELC RAP acknowledges the important contributions of all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to our centre and to the nation, and we respect the knowledge connected to the world’s oldest living cultures.
Our long-term reconciliation vision is to be a centre that is continuously working with First Nation people's and that we will be able to respectfully embed First Nation peoples’ perspectives through our practices and programs through the centre.
