Kool Kidz Truganina acknowledges and values Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people's heritages, cultural histories and traditions. Our vision is to continue to respect, acknowledge and build positive relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and all children and families attending our centre. We ensure equal and equitable educational opportunities and outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, by challenging both hidden and visible ways of thinking that prevent reconciliation. We work to increase our cultural literacy and responsiveness and employ these skills to and nurture a bright future for all First Nations peoples.
Maintaining respectful relationships with Elders and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders community members are essential as we change our perspectives as we travel the path of reconciliation together.
