Emailed to confirm inclusion of ethical knowledge in consultation with community 16/6/23 round 304 CW AHPS values the Whadjuk Noongar people who are the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which we teach, learn and grow. Anne Hamersley Primary School would like to embark on a journey of reconciliation by learning from, with and, alongside the Whadjuk Nyoongar people. As a community, we will strive to create pathways for learners that acknowledge First Nations perspectives and contribute to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people’s success. At AHPS we uphold the values of Respect, Resilience, Excellence, Cooperation and Compassion. Our journey is guided by the Anne Hamersley values which are united with, Nyoongar ethical knowledge of Wooniny, Woola Katitjin, Karnant, Moordidjabiny and Moorditj. These values will be united to strengthen and embed culturally inclusive processes and practices in the Anne Hamersley Way. Through our RAP we will create a learning environment that builds a positive and proactive environment that promotes a shared national identity. We will strive to nurture a community of learners who are caring, respectful, curious and determined when contributing to a thriving and culturally responsive environment. In partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people we will: •Build strong relations free of racism. •Explore the shared history of Australia to prevent the wrongs of the past being repeated. •Respect the strengths that every person brings to our school. •Embed culturally inclusive processes and practises across our school and community. •Promote equal participation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
