Our vision for reconciliation is that the diversity and richness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and heritage are recognised, respected and celebrated. Our vision is that ‘EVERY child develops meaningful relationships, participates and learns with the encouragement of their families, carers and wider communities’. We are committed to building stronger relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, communities and organisations and providing respectful, responsive and culturally relevant experiences. We further our connections with the local AECG and continue attending meetings where appropriate. We envision more Aboriginal and Torres Strait people joining our centre both through enrolments (children) and through educators (staff). Throughout the year we facilitate learning experiences for children through reciprocal relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members with long standing educators who have confidence assisting less confident educators.
We envision all staff having a more hands on approach to developing and and enacting our RAP. In previous years a small number of educators have interacted so we hope to engage the whole team moving forward.
