At Rise & Shine Kindergarten, we envision a future where reconciliation is not just a destination, but a journey of understanding, healing, and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and histories.
Through communicating and building meaningful relationships with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, we will come together with educators, children, families, the wider community and the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community as one.
We will deepen our understandings of Australia's true history and acknowledge the ongoing impacts that colonisation has on Australia's First People. We commit ourselves to work towards this, through recognizing that true reconciliation requires ongoing dedication, dialogue, and action.
