Peak Sports and Learning Shell Cove

Peak Sports and Learning Staff - Shell Cove and families believe we can learn from and with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, particularly the Dharawal people in our local community. We believe that reconciliation is a very important part of our program. Reconciliation is about respect and developing positive relationships between the wider Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We think it is important to influence and engage our children through positive role modelling and respectfully educating them on moving forward as a greater community united and working together to build a better Australia for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and all Australians. As a centre we aim to strengthen our understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures as we commit to working toward a safe and equitable place for all people. We aim to provide a welcoming environment for all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and pledge to value their knowledge and hope to respectfully promote programs, as they lead the way in sharing their knowledge with us.
