At Story House Early Learning Chinderah reconciliation is respectful connection to Country and respectful relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the wider Australian community. Our commitment to our community and our celebration for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people will be embedded through language, song, art, food and most of all play. Through our Busy Kindy programs and our day to day activities we connect to Country and explore First Nations peoples’ perspectives which include our family grouping morning Acknowledgement to Country and then we again do this in our individual rooms during group times. This program supports children to take in their surroundings to learn and understand what it means to learn and live on country. Our goal is for all our children and families to confidently understand the incredible and diverse cultures and histories of First Nations peoples through play. Through the incredible work of our community that surrounds and supports us. We seek to enhance their individual connection to country and to show respect for our environment.
