At Nido Early School Hocking, we are dedicated to continuous learning about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultures and perspectives and respectfully embedding this knowledge with respect within our service.
We seek to understand and connect with the Mooro People on whose Country we work and learn, as we embark on our journey of reconciliation. We commit to widening our understanding of the Mooro People both of the past and in the present and connecting these with the learning and teaching within the service. We recognise and respect the histories, cultures and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as part of our shared national story and identity. We commit to developing a greater understanding of this and working toward embedding Australia’s true history, and First Nations peoples’ contributions and connection to Country into our curriculums and routines.
