At Great Beginnings Mardsen Park we strive to promote understanding and respect for the cultures, traditions, of Australia's First Peoples and their spiritual relationships with the Land.
We value and support the healing journey of both Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous people andexpress our sorrow for the injustices of the past that continue into the present and strive to ensure the future is one of equality and equity for all First Nations peoples. We endeavour to acknowledge and respect the Dharug people, the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which we gather, explore, learn, and play.
We believe the process of reconciliation is a journey shared by all Australians and that this will continue to foster equality and equity between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and the wider Australian community. We pride ourselves on our commitment to supporting reconciliation and strengthening positive, rich relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and all Australians.
Great Beginnings Marsden Park’s philosophy aims to provide and promote an environment that is inclusive and provides a sense of belonging to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and non-Indigenous children, families, educators, and the wider community. We respect the wealth of knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander educators and families and the role it plays in our reconciliation journey. It is important that we stand united as a country, ecognize our true histories, and the richness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultures as the oldest continuing cultures. We ecognize all children’s right to learn about this Land, the Traditional Owners, histories, and how this empowers advocating for the rights of others.
