At PlayNest Early Learning, our vision for reconciliation is to cultivate a culturally safe, inclusive, and respectful learning community where children, families, educators, and the wider community engage in shared learning, reflection, and growth.
We acknowledge the Turrbal and Jagera (Yuggera/Yagara) peoples as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which PlayNest Early Learning operates, and we pay our deep respect to Elders past and present. We recognise their continuing connection to Country, culture, community, and knowledge systems, and we honour the important role Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples play in caring for Country and sharing cultural wisdom.
We are committed to developing a truthful and informed understanding of Australias shared histories by authentically embedding the histories, cultures, knowledges, and perspectives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples into all aspects of our pedagogical practice and learning environments. Through culturally responsive pedagogy, meaningful relationships, and ongoing reflective practice, we aim to nurture in children a deep and enduring respect for Country, culture, identity, and community from the earliest years.
PlayNest Early Learning aspires to contribute actively to reconciliation by listening to, learning from, and working in partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities. We are committed to taking meaningful and sustained action, ensuring our practices are guided by cultural integrity, respect, accountability, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
