All Areas Family Day Care’s Reconciliation Action Plan will be part of our ongoing work to drive reconciliation in our service and wider community.
This will be an ongoing journey we travel with the children, families, educators, and community each day through learning, unlearning, and relearning, self-reflection on our conscious and unconscious biases, collaboration and working towards respectful partnerships with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Our RAP will reflect our genuine commitment to providing inclusive environments for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families, and staff though our curriculum planning and daily practices to promote and support the importance of First Nations cultures, beliefs, and traditions.
Our goal is to build, nurture and support positive relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families, and the wider community.
We want all First Nations children and non-Indigenous children to value the importance of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, perspectives, and contributions in connection to the Early Years Learning Framework and My Time Our Place Framework.
