Adeona Mitchelton’s vision for reconciliation is an Australia where First Nations children receive the same equity, dignity, and respect throughout their education as their non-Indigenous peers within a culturally safe environment. We aspire to see Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives respectfully embedded and valued deeply within our practices and curriculums. We aim for social inequalities to be eradicated and envision a future where educators, children, families and the wider community respectfully engage with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples within the local community as we hold a deep respect and acknowledgement of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples' ways of knowing and being.
