We are committed to being culturally responsive and to strengthening our relationships with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, ensuring our reconciliation journey is meaningful and reflective of the local First Nations peoples. We recognise the importance of early childhood education and strive to foster equality and equity for all children as part of high-quality education. Through respectfully deepening our understanding of the knowledges and histories of the Dharawal Nation, we commit to providing a service that fosters reconciliation, equality, equity, and respect. We continue to work towards being reflective of the needs and aspirations of the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and to working with the Elders and the communities of the Dharawal Nation. We commit to building and maintaining respectful and trusting relationships that inform our policies, practices, and program that is appropriate and relevant to all children. We believe that we are in a position within the community where we can respectfully share our understanding of the histories and continuing contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples with the wider community. We advocate for all citizens to work towards reconciliation, understanding and respecting the need for policy change, and being inclusive in their daily interactions and behaviours.
