Penrose Kindergarten

VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Penrose Kindergarten, our vision for reconciliation will be an ongoing journey of acquired knowledge and deeper understanding, and a mutual respect and recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Our children will develop a deeper understanding about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are the Traditional Custodians of the Land. Our families will join us on our journey and as a team we will provide all families with a deeper understanding about the importance of equality and celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and perspectives at our service and in the community. We will endeavour to build relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and support local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander programs. We will acknowledge the Traditional Owners at all of our events and meetings and most of all develop a greater respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and a greater understanding about their cultures, passing our knowledge onto our children, staff and families at Penrose Kindergarten.
