Our vision for reconciliation is to acknowledge and respect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Peoples of Australia as the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which our centre sits.
We will continue to create bonds that reflect partnerships built on mutual trust, respect and recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
At Rockingham Early Learning and Child Care Centre, we respectfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives and heritages into our weekly curriculum, through a variety of mediums and experiences and through facilitating engagements within the service and the community to further extend meaningful connections with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members and organisations.
We have an ongoing commitment to build on these partnerships through genuine relationships and discussions that create opportunities for Educators, children, families and the wider community to be part of meaningful change, which will contribute positively to our reconciliation journey.
