Our vision for reconciliation at Warooga Childcare Southern River is for all educators, children and families to continuously acknowledge, learn about and deepen our understanding of the Traditional Custodians of the Land we live on, in particular the local Whadjuk People.
We are committed to embracing the rich cultures, histories and perspectives of Aboriginal and Torres Islander people and we believe this will foster a learning environment that represents equality and equity and truthful acceptance of our nation’s shared history.
We will continue to establish respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, these relationships will be based on trust inclusiveness, open communication and collaboration.
We are committed to building long-term partnerships with the Whadjuk People, and other First Nations people within our community, which we believe will strengthen the way we to respectfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into our service.
