Daws Road Early Learning Centre

As we continue to strive towards excellence in reconciliation, we have deepened our knowledge and understanding about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ perspectives. We are continuing to reflect on our reconciliation journey and our ongoing commitment to embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives within our Early Learning service.  

Vision: Our vision is to respect and acknowledge the connection that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have to the Land that our Early Learning Service is built on. Building respectful relationships with all the children and families that attend our service and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. 

Values: Daws Road ELC Values Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and their cultures. We welcome, encourage, and value family participation in the centre. Educators are respectful of fairness, parenting skills, culture, and beliefs. 

Objective: We are committed to gaining a deeper understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ways of learning. We recognise, celebrate and embrace Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and value the role it plays in our learning community.
