Our vision for the TAFESA Port Adelaide Child Care Centre is to always be learners and to respectfully connect and consult with local First Nations Elders and community members to ensure we are on the best path towards reconciliation within our service and together within the wider local community.
Guided by TAFESA's Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan, our Child Care Centre recognises, and is committed to demonstrating, that reconciliation is everyone's business.
At Port Adelaide we focus on the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning for the children but also for the education team. This includes keeping reconciliation in the forefront of our curriculum and planning and ensuring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives are respectfully embedded across our learning environment.
Building relationships is the core of our business and we commit to continuing to connect and celebrate with one another, and to guide each other, as we learn and grow in a modern world, working towards reconciliation. The relationships we build with the First Nations community will strengthen our truthful acknowledgement of history; our active recognition of the need for equality and equity; and our genuine desire for, and drive towards, reconciliation.
