Babinda Kindergarten’s vision for reconciliation is to always be a culturally safe place where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families feel welcome and comfortable, where all children have respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and where staff feel confident to facilitate learning about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, perspectives, and cultures.
We will continue to build relationships with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and community organisations, and ensure that all people feel welcome at our kindy. We will encourage our children to engage with the wider community during our community visits and encourage the community to engage with the Kindy children, families and educators through excursions and incursions.
