Innisfail Community Kindergarten aims to create a learning environment that is welcoming to all and respectfully embeds Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives within its learning, partnerships and everyday life.
Our vision is that Innisfail Community Kindergarten continues to build strong, visible and respectful connections between staff, children, families and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. We value the relationships we are building with First Nations peoples and demonstrate our respect through creating culturally responsive learning environments.
By building a Kindergarten culture that is open-minded, fair, informed and considerate of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, and traditions, we aim to develop strong foundations for understanding, acceptance, and growth, and create a future Australia that takes pride in its cultural heritage.
Our vision is also to increase enrolments of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children in our Kindergarten.
