VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Innisfail Community Kindergarten is committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive learning environment that respectfully incorporatesĀ Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives across all aspects of our teaching partnerships and daily experiences. Our vision is to continue strengthening meaningful, respectful and visible connections between staff, children, families and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. We deeply value the relationships we are building with First Nations peoples and express our respect through culturally responsive practices and learning environments. By fostering a Kindergarten culture that is open-minded, fair, informed and respectful of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, and traditions, we aim to lay strong foundations for understanding, acceptance, and growth. In doing so, we contribute to shaping a future Australia that proudly embraces and celebrates it's rich cultural diversity.
