At Uniting Early Learning Kirwan our vision for reconciliation as a community is the continued and active acknowledgement of, and respect for, the Traditional Custodians of the Land. Educators are committed to providing a welcoming and open environment for all children, educators, families and children to grow in their knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories and cultures as part of their learning journeys.
Our educators understand and value the importance of engaging in respectful, trusting, and reciprocal relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to ensure there are opportunities for all children, their families, educators and the local community. The education teams across the service will continue to facilitate experiences and explore opportunities to respectfully grow their knowledge of the First Nations peoples of Australia. We will continue to ensure we are reflecting on how to respectfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives within our learning environments across all age groups, teachings and pedagogies.
We at Uniting Early Learning Kirwan are dedicated to continuing to develop meaningful partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the local community, ensuring our ever-growing relationship remains respectful, reciprocal and considerate. Such respect will also be demonstrated within our learning environments, conversations and teachings.
We at Uniting Early Learning Kirwan will continue our Reconciliation Action Plan implementation journey, with reflections and discussions being upheld within our professional environment to ensure we are providing educators, children, families and the wider community with the appropriate information to ensure the language, terminology, resources and pedagogical practices used across all our learning environments to remain inclusive, respectful and culturally responsive.
