We at Parkhurst Early Learning Centre recognise and value Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as an important part of Australia's heritage and as part of the oldest continuing cultures in human history today. We believe we can contribute to raising a future generation that is free of prejudice, discrimination and racism, providing justice and equity for all. We are committed to building stronger relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous Australians by developing a holistic approach to fostering and embedding a higher level of knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ histories, cultures, language and contributions throughout our everyday programs and practices. We continue to raise awareness and strive to be co-learners of our reconciliation journey, as it is one we want to walk in partnership with our community, as we all have a role to play.
