Our vision for reconciliation here at Busy Bees Fraser Coast is to create a community where all families, children and educators in our service feel an overwhelmingly positive sense of belonging and cultural security. We strive to ensure Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families, and all families feel respected, valued and know they are part of our service community. By utilising various learning frameworks, we aim to provide meaningful opportunities for all children to be able to achieve their full potential. Through connections with the Butchulla people, the Traditional Owners of the Land on which our service stands, we continue to grow our knowledge and develop further understandings of their history, culture, and traditions to help us continue to respectfully embed these perspectives into our practices. All educators strive to ensure our children value, respect and sustain all cultural heritages that are represented within the service and protect, sustain and enrich our natural environment. Educators are now all committed to respectfully embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' perspectives into our programs and environments through experiences, research, literature and dedicated cultural displays in the room environments and are now more confident to implement these.. Based on our reconciliation journey so far, our focus moving forward is to continue extending our relationships within our local community.
