C&K Caloundra Community Child Care Centre

VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Caloundra Community Childcare acknowledge the importance of reconciliation for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and all Australians, and are committed to providing an educational perspective that demonstrates respect for all peoples and cultures.  We aim to embed meaningful experiences in our everyday practise, recognising and respecting the diversity of places, histories and First Peoples’ contributions that all form a key part of our national identity.

To reach our goals, we will share our understanding with children and families to build an awareness of the importance of reconciliation.  We will engage in continued professional learning to find ways to respectfully explore and share Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ways of knowing and being, with authentic experiences that reinforce the beauty and richness of First Peoples’ cultures.
