We acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have unique cultures with deep and abiding relationships to Country. We are committed to building and maintaining partnerships based on trust, respect and recognition of the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures as enduring, living cultures. We respect and value their cultural insight as we work to establish strong links between Goodstart Moreton Downs and the local First Nations community. Our educators are dedicated to becoming confident in respectfully embedding First Nation cultural perspectives into our curriculum. We will continue to work with children, families and educators to understand how to build respectful and authentic relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in a way that is age and developmentally appropriate. We will continue educating our families on the importance of our reconciliation journey, by inviting them to come on the journey with us, to learn, unlearn and relearn and form their own connections with reconciliation.
